I don't feel like repeating myself again and again, but I do feel if I have missed telling anyone...That person should have a place to find it, so...
My pretty little new car is seriously screwed. My own friends at work did it to me and didn't even have the guts to admit to it.
I worked through a rotten day upset, migraine and wanting to go home. You see I have been switched to day shift and as much as I love the clients, I hate daylight and high pitched noises. It was so loud I never heard it when someone backed up rapidly and SLAMMED into my car.
It was not a small ding but that of someone in a desperate hurry to flee the place and didn't look behind them when they shifted into reverse. The accident I can understand and easily forgive (even if it f**ked my cute blue/green paint job). The thing I can't easily forgive is the hit and run technique they used to do it...
It is dented several inches all down the passenger door and the mirror was left swinging about four inches below its usual location. You can believe me when I say they know they hit it and drove off anyway. My name is on the front of my car. They also knew who's car it was, but didn't come inside to tell me.
I had to stay at work an extra hour filling out a police offense report and only have liability insurance that won't cover repairs. Not to mention the check engine light now blinks at me and it has developed a strange smell from underneath the hood suddenly. I hope it doesn't blow up and kill me...*grumble*
